Getting Started

What is ButterKit?

ButterKit™ enables Apple developers and designers to capture, design and translate their app screenshots into all 39 App Store languages. What used to take many hours (or even days) setting up hundreds of artboards in a traditional design tool like Figma or Sketch takes just a few minutes with ButterKit.

It’s sort of a mixture of Figma + Blender + AI-powered translation, directly integrated with Xcode. And built on Metal for blazing-fast 60/120fps performance. All with no ads, no accounts, and a one-time purchase option.

Who is it for?

  • iOS/macOS/tvOS developers and designers
  • Builders & studios who value speed, quality, and software ownership

Key features

  • Realtime 3D rendering built on Metal for excellent performance on M-series macs (60/120fps editing)
  • Photorealistic 3D devices to frame your app (iPhone/iPad/Mac)
  • Pro-designed templates you can tweak
  • Translate text to all 39 App Store locales
  • No account required; analytics & AI features optional

Capture in Xcode or Fastlane (or manually)

ButterKit integrates directly with Xcode Simulator, capturing your screenshots and immediately framing them into photorealistic devices.

Adjust your design

A growing library of professionally designed templates make it easy to get a professional look quickly. Or start from scratch. Adjust 3D rotation, background colors, gradients, full text/font support, and more.

Translate automatically

ButterKit does the heavy-lifting for you, translating using the on-device ML-powered translation engine for 20 languages, or using OpenAI for all 39 App Store Connect languages (Pro feature). It does this while retaining your design constraints so text looks great in all languages.

Bulk Export

Batch export all of your screenshots into neatly organized folders, ready for export to App Store Connect.

System requirements

  • Operating System: macOS Sequoia (15) or Tahoe (26)
  • CPU: M-Series recommended (Intel works too)
  • Internet only for optional features (e.g., translation providers, updates)
